She almost didn't make it there alive.
After some disturbing photos from 696
gallery, it was brought to my attention
never to trust Australia Post with your life.

I believe she is ok now, and all things going well
SHOULD be on display at the wonderful 696 Gallery.
But maybe you could just go along for me. And let me
know if TIGER BRIDE is still dancing.

Tiger Bride

    I love it!

What did aust post do?! I just got back some work from 696 and despite their best efforts at wrapping one of the glass pieces broke.

and how did I miss the call out for this? *sad face*

    oh thanks!!!

    :D

Well it probably was partly my fault. The glass broke and the frame also broke. But I am not even sure if they have re framed it in time!!

But oh well. Post it anyway.

I am not sure :( I always miss calls for their shows! haha

boo! oh well, at least the artwork made it in one piece :) I've decided to start buying pdf from bunnings and making to-size shipping boxes, buffered with old cardboard boxes and bubblewrap. the pdf is only $6-ish a sheet, and it gives them something to send it back in. also gives me an excuse to go hunting for nice wood grains :D

oh australia post is horrid sometimes! i posted a box which had a large order in it + it went to a different state and somehow got run over (tyre marks on the box and all!) but anyway i will totally have to pop in and see this now! and i'm sad too about missing the call out, i have sent stuff in before and don't get any love back (maybe it's a hint :) )

Thanks gorgeous! Leo was actually my fave :)
But yeah it was suuuuuch a long job.
I think next time I take on something like that i'll be a bit better prepared to manage my time!

Love the piece you did for PP.
    I didn't get asked either.
    No dramas.

that is why when you get things framed always get it in acrylic. =) no-one gets glass frames anymore, and if you really really really want glass frames put tape across it on an angle on the actual glass. Then put foam around both sides. Then package cardboard around it. Never use bubble wrap, it helps the glass 'break' and also causes long term damage (cause of the chemicals in the bubbles). just some things I picked up from the state galleries & curators.

and sorry i sound like such a sook- i haven't slept at all and i'm feeling sorry for myself ( which happens after 9 hours of packaging + then going to work all day)
