on this glorious book.

This, along with other lovely treasures is now mine as a result of my big twenty first birthday!

Keep inspiring me wonderful creators.

I love blogging. I love reading blogs. I love writing blogs. I love ridiculous blogs. I love serious blogs. Somes though they are very easy to forget about. Especially when you have lovely holidays to New Zealand! (More later), 21st birthdays, work, work work and family to think about.

I really wish my artistic creations were not neglected, but I suppose they have been. I have been creating, uni and other little projects (More later!) but I havent been keeping up on the whole interactive internet community which i love doing so so much.

I still read my favourite blogs, but with not as much love and attention as I want.

I'm going to budget more time for this again. I have been also been spending a lot of time reflecting on what sort of artist I want to be, and I have been spending more time working on suppose a "body of work" as opposed to making something and posting because I was egar to share it with the world!

I want to share my more "fine art" side. As opposed to the illustrationy side (which I still want to share!)

So when I get to my actual computer (this is a speedy naughty blog-post-while-I-am-meant-to-be-working-at-work kind of post!) I can share and show and tell and I hope that someone is left around here to read and enjoy!
Meanwhile, my favourite little bunny friend FIFI has made very hard for me to want to wear anything other than that dress for my upcomming 21st birthday!

still loving it.

Sorry for any typos, no spell check here!

to think that I have to spend my limited limited spare time attending all the lovely 21st Birthday Parties that are all going around at the moment. What a chore! hehe. (and mine is not too far away!)

Thanks for all the lovely words, I will find the time to catch up with everyone, even if it is in 5 years time. But still. Keep an eye out folks. Time to be creatin' soon. xxx

where did she go??

for those avid readers of my blog (hehe im sure there are tons! lol) that are wondering what happened to me, just a quick note to let you know that I am still alive, I am still trying to be creative, and keep up with everyones blogs etc etc but my 'artistic' time is so very limited at the moment.

but never fear. that time shall someday come. i hope.

hope all is swell and well!

xx

God of Speed

Where have I been? hmm maybe you havent really noticed, but sadly I havent had much time for the wonderful world of art4friends and the associated adventures (i.e. blog reading, networking, shop updating and what not).

Much of the usual commitments have started up again. I was working three jobs for a while there, I got two news ones. But I finally resigns the good old retail job so now im doing jobs that I like and enjoy and that actually give me work and good money! Wooppee! So maybe I can be showing my walls with beautiful art soon.

I want to be creating. Im trying.

Uni started again, which is ok. I find it hard to enjoy the art that I create at uni, even though I am at the College of Fine Arts. I dont know.

Lots of reading too. This book, God of Speed. Get it and read it. Its wonderful.

I cant wait to get my hands on a copy of curvy. I really should go see the exhibition. I work too much.

Hope all my peeps are doing well.

*If you read my blog from a reader, you might need to open a new window. This was so much fun. Thanks to Magic Jelly for sharing!

I love Ginger Beer

After a hard day of multiple loads of washing and a huge big bathroom clean, what better way to wind down than with a chilled, refeshing bottle of ginger beer. Oh the sweet gingery taste, how I love you so.

On a more exciting note, how wonderful is this artst, Kendra Binney. I mean seriously, the work is breathtaking. Go check out her little shop.

Have a wonderful day friends!

And i just cant quite believe it. I mean really, I still cleaning up the mess from christmas! Anyway, I can complain about a time filled with eating chocolate (but much more excitedly giving!) and being sweet.

Some little goodie bags I am preparing for friends and family!

OO and I never really show you puppy, Maggie. She is so hard to get a shot of, I will have to wait till she is asleep!
HAPPY EASTER SWEETS!

That you can now get pretty little art4friends pins from Leeloo!.

Yes, some time ago I got two little badge sets organised especially for Leeloo, and now they are over in the shop, among other greatness like creations from mycharliegirl and Ali J and many many more.

If you like the She's no wallflower series, that you will love these little pin sets! :D Go on! Check them out!

Monday Baking!

I do love the idea of baking. You know, the kitchen, the mixing, the cooking, the anticipation. I don't necessarily think I am any good at it, but I do like it. And I like to feed others. Today I felt the urge to have a little go at some recipes from frankies afternoon tea.

I did have an attempt at a little cake, but I think its best we just left that one there. (eek)

I also had an attempt at some sweet little nana biscuits. They were lots of fun to mix and make, my favourite part of the process, adding the little almond! Yum yum. We can speak of these, and they turned out to be rather lovely.

Cake and Cookie time anyone? What is your baking specialty?
