Get Trucked!

I was very excited to create a "hat" for this super exhibition "Get Trucked" presented by my favourite Melbourne gallery 696. This year, Get Trucked, an annual fund raising exhibition, is a side event to Semi Permanent and will be shown at Per Square Meter Gallery. If you are near by, make sure you check out the opening on Thurs 8th October 6-9 pm. Once again, due to my silly location (boo Sydney!) I won't be able to make it.

here is what I came up with (above top) :: and just look at the gorgeous creation (above below) by Bec Winnel (super new website Bec!), she is such a superstar.

===================================================

p.s. a HUGE thank you to everyone for your support towards {twin set}. Angela and I have worked so hard on this (along with many fantastic others) and it is just so so heart warming hearing all the things that you are saying. I just cannot thank you enough xxxxxxxx

She almost didn't make it there alive.
After some disturbing photos from 696
gallery, it was brought to my attention
never to trust Australia Post with your life.

I believe she is ok now, and all things going well
SHOULD be on display at the wonderful 696 Gallery.
But maybe you could just go along for me. And let me
know if TIGER BRIDE is still dancing.

(Melbourne! So I can't even go!)

Well as I believe I have mentioned that I created a worked for the upcoming Sketchel exhibition to be held at Gallery 696.

I sent off my finished piece to them through the week, however, sadly, the canvas that I drew my work on was not the correct type, so it doesn't work with the Sketchel!

Oh dear! I am so frustrated at my self for being so silly.

I am still working on a solution at the moment, but for now I shall leave you with some pictures that I took before I send the canvas off. And  never mind, I shall be able to use the drawing in one way or another!!!

sketchel vs 696

It may have been awhile since I posted. New year has been rather good so far. But I am  excited to mention that I am busy working on my submission for the sketchel vs 696 exhibition, down in Melbourne in the wonderful 696 gallery! I shall post some photos soon!

I promise I shall get creating and more so revealing!

Hope all is well with all.

We Love Ladies!

Yay, I am going to be apart of another exhibition at the lovely 696 (well i havent even been there yet, but i am hoping to one day!). Its an all girl show and I sent down my original drawings from the "She's No Wallflower" series. They are slightly different to the prints as the were digitally collaged, but I added some lovely material details, so they are very special.

It is exciting to have my work up on the wall along with the lovelies such as Ali J, My Charlie Girl, and Kelly Smith

So if you are in Melbourne, please, go along and check it out. This Friday, 7-9 pm! Sadly I wont be there, so could you please take a picture or two???

After some much helpful advice from such a lovely fellow illustrator Ali J I have decided its time to set my self some goals. What am I hoping to achieve as an illustrator over the next year? While I love selling on etsy, and hopefully I can do more of that over this year (and try and introduce some new and exciting things into my little shop.) I would love to have some more places, real world places stock my work. Well actually, not even real world places, internety places are good too, but anyway, you get my drift. There might be some excitement in this department to be revealed at a later date, however I still aim to have my worked stocked in a selection of, lets say 5 different places by the end of the year! Currently the lovely folks over at Gallery696 are doing wonderful things with selling my creations, but this has given me a taste for more!

All just thinking out load really. But they say goal setting is important.

dont forget the button badge sale!

lots of love.
